About Hpi Rc Drift – Faq

David asks…
which is better in maintenance,tune-ups and rc drifting quality: tamiya tt-01/tb-02 or hpi e10 drift/sprint?
RC Staff Member Answers:
I don’t drift, but there are people here locally who do. There are several using the Tamiya cars. From what i have seen, i like the TB-02 Drift Spec car. It seems to have all the necessary stuff, plus if you want to club race touring cars, all you need to do is switch tires and it’s ready for that too.

Joseph asks…

Ruth asks…
RC drifting: Can anyone suggest an engine for RC drifting?
Hi,
I am new to RC drifting and I hear that to drift well, you need an engine with torque. I have an HPI sprint 2 drift. any suggestions?
(By the way, it is an electric car, and the stock motor is a NOSRAM TORNADO (17T))

To get more torque you need to go to a motor with less turns
I.E you have a 17 turn go with a 12 -10 or even the new 9 turn but make sure you esc can handle it so you don’t blow it 9 is the lowest turn you can get for know you can also look at brushless motors but then you will need to change the ecs for one but you will get power. You wont beleave also with brushless you can change to lipo batt’s lighter and bigger bursts of power when you need it you can use lipos with what you have if the esc can handle those batt’s
