R/C nitro cars and trucks?

I have to tell you, I have had a Tmaxx truck that originally had a 2.5 motor in it. It got worn out so I put the 3.3 and WOW, what a difference. Recently I just bought a Nitro 4 tec 3.3 and the box say it will do 70 mph, and I’ll guarantee it will do every bit of that. Both of them are so much fun. I was wondering if anybody love this hobby as much as I do?
They are both Traxxas models and you can get them at pretty much any hobby store that carries nitro R/C stuff or I think you can order it off the Traxxas web site, www.traxxas.com

Fires with Nitro vehicles are not uncommon. However they are usually the result of improper use or carelessness. Sad to say but true.
If not all safety precautions are observed, then a fire could indeed happen. Nitro fuel is extremely flammable, and should always be handled with exteme caution. Even a minor spill when filling up the tank, and then a spark from anything, could be disastrous.
There are warnings on the fuel jugs. There are warnings in owners manuals for the cars. It is all over the internet. You must be careful with nitro fuel or you will get burned(pardon the pun).
If and when a fire does occur, it cannot be blamed on the car, or the manufacturer. It is always the result of the user. (again, sad but true) Period!
All accidents are preventable. ALL.

Linda asks…

Well, I have an R/C airplane engine can it be used to make a funny car?

I’m into R/C cars & trucks, but a friend gave me an airplain eng. So I figuer I’ll try it in a car. Now at this point. the fram, cassy everything I plan to devellop. I know that an R/C airplain eng. need to be air cooled. So I’ll put the ( its nitro) eng. in frount poping out of the hood,so that when it runs air hits it. I was told on RC unavers that the prop helps to keep the eng. cooled and that airplain eng. don’t have the tork. (Hay, I got it free,so if it O.D’s it O.D’s). But I’m only planing on strate runs at top speeds. pop a parasute kill the eng. This is my frist nitro eng. But do not want to get into airplains. A car, truck even a helicopter going in your yaerd. A airplain drive 5, 10 miles get it in the air crash it in 1 min drive back 5, 10miles
(WHY GO THERE?)
So dosse anyone have any ideals for this, or am i just crazzy to waant something that go’s 0 to 80 in 20 sec. So any ideals or should I just trash this tought. GOD BLESS, thank to all.

You could try Webster’s dictionary, or even spellcheck, and then re-ask your question intelligently and in a manner that is understandabllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllle. J/K you could use the crankshaft ( what spins th prop) to turn an axle, and you could even increase your output by using a chain and sprocket type set-up. Or even gears to achieve your top speed, and possibly even faster than your ideal 20 seconds. You could also try to fabricate a cooling fan, possibly out of a computer fan, (they are cheap)
good look, and remember who gave you the ideas if you get it up and running
