You can also check-out http://www.ebay.com/. I’ve heard that there has been a lot of vintage vehicle bidding recently.

David asks…

Who has ever built an R/C car out of a lawnmower?

Tell me how did you do it. I saw a cheap lawnmower for about $150. I am now thinking if it’s possible to transform it into an rc car. This will scare of even the biggest R/C truck!

RC Staff Member Answers:

Oooh dangerous i did this once and it went completley out of contol and fractured my ankle. (did make it out of steel though probably not the best idea)

it’s gonna cost some bank and youll need to have good knowledge of electonics cos youll be soldering alot

just search google for “RC car From Lawn Mower” thats how i got started

Susan asks…

What is the purpose of foam inserts on R/C car/truck tires? What do they help with? Do you really need them?

RC Staff Member Answers:

They are made to keep more of the tread on the track surface, without them most of the wear would be on the outer edges. We ran off road for years before inserts came along so they are not necessary, but they are helpful.
