Got mine at ebay for 299 with fm digi control. Its huge i like it. But compare to 4.6 rtr savage because it has 2 speed and power starter……..things i need to buy again. And by the way customer support is the best. That guy nick of redcat is nice. The english of the manual is so hard to understand…..hahaha. Made in china i suppose. So in the end there is somebody you can chat with and help you tune it. The engine is strong, very loud, easy access, its not as fast as my sons 3.3 traxxas 4tec but its fast enough at single speed.

Donald asks…

Are Redcat Racing rc vehicles a good buy?

I want to get some pro grade rc cars, and not break the the bank, and want to know if this company is reliable and legit.

RC Staff Member Answers:

I’ve heard a lot about Redcat Racing. And like all of the other companies, their reviews are mixed. Some good, and some bad. I personally wouldn’t get them because the parts are hard to come by. Good brand hobby grade R/C cars are all expensive. It depends on what model you buy.

Sandy asks…

What are the factory needle settings for my redcat racing tornado s30 rc car?

What are the high speed needle, low speed needle, and idle needle factory settings? The cheap ass site and the manual don’t say their factory settings!

RC Staff Member Answers:

Be careful not to turn the HSN too hard but turn it all the way clockwise. Then turn it all the way counterclockwise and count the rotations. Let’s say the needle turned 4 full rotations. Turn the need back half the rotations. In this case half of 4 full rotations is 2 rotations. Now the HSN is centered. That would be a good starting point for tuning. The low speed needle screw should be flush. Meaning the head of the screw (needle) should not be in too far OR the side of the head should not be seen or sticking out. To set the idle screw or needle, unfold a paperclip and stick in the carb. Tighten the screw until it touches the paperclip. That is the size of the gap you want your idle screw to be for factory. Hope this helps.
