Betty asks…
Is this real? Can a snake bite after being decapitated?

It’s a quick 10-second vid, but a bit graphic so don’t watch if you think it’ll disturb you.
Is it real though? Is the snake still alive? If it bit somebody then, would it still inject venom?
How creepy and gross…

If it’s freshly decapitated it’s probably real, reptiles (and other cold blooded animals, like fish) have the natural ability to survive a LONG time without oxygen or blood flow, because since they don’t produce their own heat or produce milk for their young, they use almost no energy, that’s why snakes don’t have to eat but ever week to every month, and can go for almost a year without eating a single bite. When I was younger, some people found a giant turtle and cut it’s head off (because they were going to eat it) they put it’s head in the lawn and it’s heart in a bottle of salty water, the heart beat for almost the whole day and the head would open it’s mouth and snap down on paintbrush handles and sticks. This is why if you are going to have to kill a pet fish by cutting it’s head off, you also have to crush the head, so that the brain will die instantly, otherwise it will still be alive for hours after you “killed” it
