A You can charge the battery in the atv. I have a Yamaha Warrior and a Redcat 70 for my daughter. I charge the battery in each one without removing it. The only reason I would remove a battery for charging would be if the positive terminal of the battery is too close to a metal part of the atv to safely connect the charger without arcing. You can buy a "Battery Tender" that has leads that are permanently connected to the battery. Just plug the charger to these leads and leave it on until you ride. This charger will shut off when the battery is fully charged and keep the battery up when you are not riding. Just unplug it from the atv and go ride.

A I take it that it is a nitro car. If it is then make sure that the engine is not seized. You'll have to replace the glow plug for a new one. If there is fuel in the fuel tank & fuel line you'll have to wash that out with new fuel. Check on the condition of the fuel line & tank. Replace if necessary. I'd run a half or full tank of new fuel through the engine to get it back to condition. Check the temp & needle settings to make sure that they haven't change. If electric check motor if its still good. Meaning if its rotating smoothly. Not binding or grinding feeling on the bearings. Check the wire conditions, see if there are cuts or wire insulation breaks. Charge battery & your good to go. Check the suspension, drive train & steering on the car.
