- Nitro RC: Redcat Lightning STR, Vortex SS, Volcano S30, or Caldera 3.0?
I am having a hard time choosing between these Nitro cars. I want to mainly use it for Offroad and backyard driving, but also crave fast high speeds when using it on the street or road. I know that both the Lightning STR and Vortex SS are fast considering both are 2 Speeds. The Volcano S30 is great and so is the Caldera 3.0 for use on Offroad and backyard featuring a 2 Speed while the S30 is only Single Speed. Price doesn't matter this point, I just want one that will handle crashing/bashing, etc... I don't know much about Nitro as I am just entering the RC Hobby. What I have in mind right now is the Caldera 3.0 but would like to know if Volcano S30 or Vortex SS is good enough? Please help or someone that has a knowledge about these kinds of things. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

- What if i hadnt run my nitro rc in 1 year?
I hadnt run my redcat racing lightning str for about a year. I want to know if i need to do anything special because i hadn't run it for that long.
A I would make sure everything is lubed and functional. Double check your batteries. If you live in Canada, batteries don't like the cold so make sure they work. Have fun - Garth
