- Any comments on Redcat Avalanche nitro rc truck?
Looking for recommendations for a nitro rc truck. What is your favorites?

A got mine at ebay for 299 with fm digi control. its huge i like it. but compare to 4.6 rtr savage because it has 2 speed and power starter........things i need to buy again. and by the way customer support is the best. that guy nick of redcat is nice. the english of the manual is so hard to understand.....hahaha. made in china i suppose. so in the end there is somebody you can chat with and help you tune it. the engine is strong, very loud, easy access, its not as fast as my sons 3.3 traxxas 4tec but its fast enough at single speed.

- How to determine the parts for making an RC Car?
I am doing an engineering project where I must make a design for an Rc car. The car must have gears,suspension, at most two motors, differential steering, be able to make a 1ft turn radius, and go up a 30degree incline while carrying one pound. How can I determine the size of the motor, gears( and type of gears), and wheels. also can some please give me example of models that I can use to help me build mines.

A The most basic monster truck I could recommend for you to start looking at is the Ground Pounder by Redcat Racing. http://www.redcatracing.com/GroundPounde… It's a TVP design which is simple and 4-link suspension which is easy to understand. Another company, Axial racing takes the 4-link suspension further and makes a better truck - similar in design to the Ground Pounder. Note - most of these trucks are made for slower speeds but can twist and articulate over rocks easily. For a quick lesson on electronics and motor size, look at the Traxxas website. The Traxxas Slash, 2WD has a basic electronics package consisting of a steering servo, ESC for throttle control, a transmitter and receiver, and a motor. Hope it helps.
