- What is the difference between seriese and paralell connectors with an e-revo rc?
I am going to be buying a Traxxas E-Revo, and I am going to be using 2 bateries. I want alot of use time, but also the power and speed. What one would give me what? And what batteries/power packs are the best buy?

A Hello Velocity149 and welcome to Yahoo Answers. Batteries wired in series, increase the voltage. For example, a flashlight that takes two batteries. The type of flashlight where you drop one battery in the hole and drop the second battery in the same hole. You have two 1.5 volt batteries in series for a total of 3 volts. Three batteries in series equals 4.5 volts. Four batteries in series equals 6 volts, and so on. ____________________________________________________ Batteries wired in parallel keep the same voltage. Example: Two 1.5 volt batteries in parallel equals 1.5 volts. Three 1.5 volt batteries in parallel equals 1.5 volts. Four 1.5 volt batteries in parallel equals 1.5 volts. Now to your Traxxas E-Revo. Putting two batteries in series will double the operating voltage and destroy the electronics. The motor will run twice as fast, until it burns up and dies. This is not an option for you, at all ! Putting two batteries in parallel will theoretically double the run/ use time. The voltage will be correct. The power is limited to what the motor is designed for. Speed works the same way. The only way to get more speed is to change the gearing, if it is available, or upgrade to a more powerful motor. Higher ratio gears will make/ allow the car to go faster. Lower ratio gears will make/ allow the car to go slower. Adding a second battery to the car will make the car heaver and less responsive to acceleration and breaking. - Whats the best battery i can fit into a traxxas e revo 1/16?
im going to buy a traxxas e revo 1/16 and im wondering whats the best battery i can put into it.

A Either a 2 cell LiPo From maxamps or an Orion supercharge 6-cell. (What I use. ;)
