- can a 1/10th scale traxxas nitro sport be converted to use a 33cc 2 stroke gas weed eater engine?
I have a 33cc weed eater engine laying around and was just wondering if i can convert my nitro sport to use this engine? If not where can i find a kit that i can use this engine with?
A There are no direct bolt-on applications for that engine in the RC world. There are kits and companies that will allow you to use it for a propeller on a larger airplane. You would have to fabricate your own engine mount and drive train using the weed eater clutch on your Traxxas car. A better and simpler conversion would be a larger glow engine with a similar crank shaft to the stock engine from the car.
