Ideas and Venom Pro Power Supply Reviews - FAQ and Questions
- Cyber Power Pc Computer?
I was very content on building my own pc with parts from new egg. After looking on this website i realized i could get a same or better computer for $100 less and they build it for you? Heres the specs CAS: Raidmax Blackstorm Mid-Tower Gaming Case w/ 180MM Side-Panel Fan and One-Click Side Panel (Black Color [+0]) CD: 24X Double Layer Dual Format DVD+-R/+-RW + CD-R/RW Drive (BLACK COLOR) CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-2500K 3.30 GHz 6M Intel Smart Cache LGA1155 (All Venom OC Certified) [-104] CS_FAN: Default case fans FAN: Asetek 510LC Liquid Cooling System 120MM Radiator & Fan (Enhanced Cooling Performance + Extreme Silent at 20dBA) (Single Standard 120MM Fan) FLASHMEDIA: INTERNAL 12in1 Flash Media Reader/Writer (BLACK COLOR) FREEBIE_CU1: FREE Game - Shogun 2 Coupon: Total War [+0] HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD [-41] (Single Hard Drive) IUSB: Built-in USB 2.0 Ports KEYBOARD: Xtreme Gear (Black Color) Multimedia/Internet USB Keyboard MB_SRT: None MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Module [+10] (Corsair XMS Gaming Memory with Heatsink Spreader) MOTHERBOARD: * [CrossFireX] GigaByte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ Intel Smart Response Technology & 7.1 Dolby Home Theater Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, 2x SATA-III RAID, 2 Gen2 PCIe, 3 PCIe X1 & 2 PCI (All Venom OC Certified) MOUSE: XtremeGear Optical USB 3 Buttons Gaming Mouse MULTIVIEW: Non-SLI/Non-CrossFireX Mode Supports Multiple Monitors NCSW: None NETWORK: Killer Xeno Pro Gigabit High Speed Online Gaming PCI Network Interface Card [+0] OS: * Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition) POWERSUPPLY: * 750 Watts - Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2 80 Plus Power Supply - Quad SLI Ready [+83] RUSH: NO; READY TO SHIP IN 5~10 BUSINESS DAYS SERVICE: STANDARD WARRANTY: 3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY PLUS LIFE-TIME TECHNICAL SUPPORT SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO SPEAKERS: None VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB 16X PCIe Video Card (EVGA Superclocked) _PRICE: (+1147) What do you think is it a good buy? I forgot to mention i get a $57 discount for a promo code. With new egg it was costing me $1150 not including shipping and i was getting a $60 case just wondering if you guys have bought from them in the past year

A Is that price including Taxes and Shipping? If not, try to add that in. Moreover, I'm sure you can cut down on your custom rig. Try looking for combos in Newegg as well. If you honestly can't find anything cheaper with the same graphics card, ram (make sure it's the same speed), or CPU, get the CyberPower PC.
- Will this computer work? Please take a look.?
This is a cross - post. However, I also wanted it under a general computer topic. Hopefully with that in mind you will leave it stay. :) Right now I am running Warcraft on a : Amd Athalon x2 D core processor 4000 Vista(Ya, I know vista eats about 500mb ram) 1 gig ram lowest end factory ram Geforce 5800(something like that 256 ram I believe) 250mb Hard drive and 2 working and 2 broken USB ports. The only use of the computer is to run WoW. I understand this is not a good 'rig'. Although I do have issues I can still box(run 2 accounts at the same time) and have issues I can tolerate - it works!! I am 95% satisfied with it's performance 90% of the time!!!!! I am able to get the below system. I am not seeking advice on price or where I should get a new computer. Nor can I swap out out the AMD. Just not an options. I am seeking general critique(from all please) on the components. I am also curious if the mother board is a decent match with the chip, video card and ram. Should this be a machine that will be able to run WoW for the next 12 months with little issue? This machine will be a tremendous upgrade from what I currently have, correct? Consider the fact I am happy with what I have now before rushing to an answer that. Before this is dropped off on the back step minor tweaks can be made. It will be a very BIG hassle, VERY big(but is possible if something needs addressed). With that in mind and the fact this machine will be hooked into a dlink router, into the network(professional install) then hooked up to an 8-12 meg DSL line. . . It will just be used for 1 purpose - WoW(Warcraft online game). The setup below will should work 50 - 100 times better than the current rig(described above) with more satisfying results right? ALSO since you read this far, thank you, is this machine overkill? After 12 months my intention will be to yard sale it for best offer Specs: Extra Case Fan: Maximum 120MM Case Cooling Fans for your selected case POWER SUPPLY Upgrade: 800 Watts Power Supplies (CyberPowerPC XF800S Performance ATX 2.0 Power - Quad SLI Ready) CPU: AMD Phenom™II X4 965 Black Edition Quad-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology COOLING FAN : Thermaltake V1 Gaming CPU Cooling Fan (Excellent Overclocking + Silent Proof + Smart CPU & System Thermal Monitor)(Venom Boost Pro OC Certified) MOTHERBOARD: Asus M3N72-D AMD 750a SLI Chipset DDR2/1066 SATA PCI-Express MBoard w/Video, GbLAN, USB2.0, &7.1Audio MEMORY: 4GB (2GBx2) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory (Kingston HyperX) VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 16X PCI Express (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA) Game Battle Stations ** Pacific ** SLI/CrossFireX Gaming Mode Supports Single Monitor HARD DRIVE: Single Hard Drive (500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD) USB PORTABLE DRIVE: USB 2.0 Portable Flash Drive (8GB) Optical Drive: LG 22X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Dual Layer Drive SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO NETWORK: Onboard Gigabit LAN Network USB Bluetooth 2.X EDR Dongle with Led Light Thumb Size Flash Media Reader/Writer: INTERNAL 12in1 Flash Media Reader/Writer USB PORT:External USB 2.0 Hub (4x USB 2.0 Ports) (BLACK Color IR-4100-BK) Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium w/ Service Pack 1 (64-bit Edition) Windows 7 Upgrade Coupon: (Free Upgrade coupon with purchasing of Vista Home Premium) Microsoft® Windows® 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition) (Halo 2) Game I was told in comparison to my 1 gig amd 64 dual core machine the improvement with this machine should be jaw dropping. It needs to last 4 months - prefer 12. I was told these are 'top line' entry level parts and better than the standard Walmart PC. THANK YOU VERY MUCH(ya caps I know). Ty, that was exactly what I was after.

A It should serve your purpose and yes, the performance difference should be jaw-dropping. It will certainly last longer than 12 months. Right off, you should get a nice sized hard drive with a 32 MB cache and make it your primary hard drive. That will speed things up a little, especially if you move your Documents folder and your page file to the 500 GB drive. Now, the other issues that I see with this computer are simple. You have a top of the line processor coupled with more or less already obsolete components. This is OK, though, since you can upgrade around the processor in this build. Personally, I'd go with a motherboard that supports DDR3 and, of course, some (8 GB?) DDR3 RAM running at 1600 MHz (twice as fast as what you're getting with the above machine). This will give you a significant all-around performance increase And of course the other thing would be the video card, though you can certainly wait 12 months to do that. With those changes, I see no real reason why the computer would be considered obsolete for at least the next 2-3 years. _
